Privacy Policy
Hello Cadrey, updated July 2026
Hello Cadrey ("we," "us") is an AI call-screening app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. We sell it to no one.
What we collect
- Account info, your name and email address, provided when you sign in with Apple or Google.
- Phone number, the mobile number you verify by SMS. This is the line we screen for you.
- Call data, for calls forwarded to Cadrey: the caller's number, timestamps, duration, our screening result (spam, legit, robocall), and the text transcript of the AI's screening conversation.
- Your settings, the AI agent, voice, language, VIP list, and blocked numbers you choose.
- Device token, a push-notification token, if you enable notifications.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not read, record, or screen calls you answer yourself. Only calls forwarded to Cadrey are processed.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, location, or microphone for anything other than a call you place through us.
- We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
How we use it
- To screen your calls, show you who called and why, and notify you about messages and blocked spam.
- To run and protect your account (sign-in, phone verification, fraud and abuse prevention).
- To provide support and improve the service.
Service providers we share with
We use trusted vendors strictly to operate the service. They may process the data above only to perform their function for us:
- Telnyx, telephony (receiving forwarded calls) and, if you opt in, SMS call notifications.
- OpenAI, the AI that conducts and classifies the screening conversation.
- Deepgram, speech-to-text during a screened call.
- ElevenLabs, the AI agent's voice.
- Apple and Google, sign-in.
- RevenueCat and the App Store / Google Play, subscription purchases (we never see your card).
- Google Cloud, secure hosting of the service and database.
SMS notifications (opt-in)
SMS is off by default. If you turn on text notifications in Settings, you consent to receive SMS messages from Hello Cadrey at your account phone number summarizing calls we screen for you. These are notifications only; we never text the people who call you. Message frequency depends on your call volume. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help, and you can also turn notifications off in Settings. Opting out of SMS does not affect your account or in-app notifications.
Call recording (opt-in, paid plans)
Recording is off by default. On a paid plan you can turn on recording of the calls Cadrey screens for you, from Settings. When it is on, your AI agent tells each caller at the start of the call that the call may be recorded, and the recording is saved so you can listen to it in the app. Recording and consent laws vary by state and country; because you enable and control this feature, you are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you and your callers. You can turn recording off at any time, and you can delete any recording by deleting the call.
Data retention
We keep call records and transcripts so you can review them in the app. You can delete any call from the app at any time, which removes it from our systems. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data, except where we must retain limited records for legal or fraud-prevention reasons.
Your choices
- Turn call forwarding off at any time (a carrier code) to stop all screening.
- Delete individual calls, or request full account deletion, from the app or by emailing us.
- Manage notifications from your device settings.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted and audited. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
Children
Hello Cadrey is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
